It is the goal and objective of Heartland to deliver risk management tools to this nation’s farmers and ranchers with the utmost honesty and integrity. Moreover, Heartland strives to do so in a manner consistent with all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the crop insurance industry.
Heartland maintains a goal of fair and compliant delivery of crop insurance protection with respect to its policyholders, agents, loss adjusters and employees. Heartland’s Compliance Department is responsible for managing formal policyholder complaints and cases of suspected misrepresentation, fraud, waste or abuse. The department assures that applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures are utilized appropriately; pledging that responses to inquiries, disputes, complaints, etc. are responded to in a timely manner. In addition, Heartland’s Quality Control Department conducts reviews to determine if applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures are being followed.
